Gotta love my girls for making days better :)
Hello! So it has been approximately 2 weeks or so since I last posted. And guess what?! It's already 22nd of January, which is like 11 days away before February starts. Wow, just wow. Not going to elaborate on how much the time freaking flies, but damn, the past few weeks have been pretty much hectic.
There hasn't been much time for me to just sit back, relax and have a sip of coffee. Okay, maybe not coffee because I don't drink those stuff. Forget about tea because I hate those stuff as well....
As I was saying, I haven't gotten the time to just browse through the internet and laugh at stupid things, or just blog. Well, I do still laugh at stupid things in the internet, but it's mostly twitter and facebook, the usual. Other than that, I'm either training my ass off in the field, or buried my head in the books just to complete my never-ending homework.
It was expected, nevertheless but it's just the beginning so I shouldn't complain much. I actually have to be thankful that I can still have a bit of fresh air and at least breathe. Also, I can actually surf the internet once in a while and tweet non-stop about my not-so-interesting life, which I tweet anyway.
So let's move on to a couple of things that have occurred so far. Such as...
Sec 1 Camp 2012.
Leader, Thinker, Learner
It had been such a great experience, being my second and last sec one camp here in AES. Once again, I had been a planner but this time, for a different game, Golden Field. I might say it wasn't easy planning the game and executing it as well, but with my station masters; Rina, Stacey, Louis Julian and Metichai, everything went surprisingly well. Our game was such a success despite the fact that we didn't even had a complete dry-run the other day because we took too much time setting up. Our hard work did pay off and I enjoyed myself with their company as well :)
Other than our oh-so-wonderful game, other activities during the camp such as the Night Walk (which turned out to be an entertaining chatting session with a bunch of people because we got rejected from our duties), Campfire (which I had to be the emcee with Munchelou and I was almost hyperventilating because I was chosen to replace the last minute but it went unexpectedly well!) and Telematch (with the awesome music in the background and powerful dance moves, what else did we need?) were a blast as well. It was all because of the people around me. The SCs were such great influences in terms of being hyper active that it wasn't possible not to be dragged in the craziness.
Those three days had passed incredibly fast, each day ending with exhausted bodies and minds. However, all of us managed to do it, plan a Sec 1 Camp and execute it. We learnt so much things and as usual, there were many bumps and obstacles that had to be faced, but it was all good in the end.
Softball trainings.
Thank you, Mr Liu!
Softball trainings had been going insane for the past few days because our competition is literally days away and I am literally hyperventilating right now. Cue gif.
I'm so exhausted after every training, it's not even funny. The whole situation is not even funny because our three games will be with Nan Hua High (which coincidentally is Marissa's school), Methodist Girls' and Dunman High. Well, isn't that fun. And we aren't ready one bit, it's so depressing and nerve-wrecking. However, we just have to train what we've got right now and play our best, I guess.
Ahhh, who am I kidding, I'm still nervous to my wits because our first game is next Thursday and it's on homeground itself! Damn. Anyway, apart from trainings, we had to say our farewell to Mr Liu as he had been shifted to another CCA (apparently NPCC, which suits his army style much much more). It's sad news because he has done so so much for softball that we've actually changed to a better CCA compared to the previous years.
I just want to thank him for the sacrifices and the wonderful things he had done for the team and we will surely give our best to make him proud. Despite hating his punishments etc, it was all for a reason and AES softball team had been out of line but now, we are definitely on the right path, thanks to Mr Liu for pushing all of us back on track. :)
One direction Infection.
Uh-huh, I'm still a directioner and proud to be one! Their new music video, One Thing, is out and everybody, as in literally (or maybe not) everybody is singing at least a part of it. It's just too addicting, that you can't help but belt out the lyrics. Especially, "SHOUT ME OUT OF THE SKY, YOU'RE MY KRYPTONITE!" If you knew the song, you would have sung it in your head, like what I did while I was typing it. :p
I've been fan-girling over them as usual. At home, outside, in school, in class, during CCA. Everywhere. Well, I have my limits and there are more dedicated directioners out there who I respect truly, but I do keep my fan-girling to a minimum because I still do have to worry about a couple more other things. Either way, being able to fan-girl all I want in school is not much of a problem because there a bunch of directioners I know (even guys, my brother including) and some people who are actually fond of their songs as well.
Even though there are some who are the so-called "haters", they are just ignored by me. Done and done. It wasn't worth arguing over stuff such that whether the boys were "gay or not", and ya-da ya-da ya-da. I'd rather use my saliva on singing out the songs than quarelling with somebody who doesn't appreciate my admiration for a band.
Funnily enough, One Direction is a hot topic in my class because whenever our maths teacher says "direction" or specifically "one direction" mathematically, the whole class goes berserk. Some of us (mainly the blue door guards consisting of Catherine, Sarah, Kimmy and myself) are cheering on while most of the boys are like boooooo! It's quite funny actually because even some of the teachers are claiming why the class gets rowdy whenever One Direction is mentioned. Influences, of course.
Nevertheless, I'm still loving One Direction and I can't wait for their concert here in Singapore because seriously, I will be going for that. No doubt. Well, that's what I have in mind. I just hope it wouldn't clash with anything important, if not I would have to stab myself virtually.
That should be all and I know for three weeks, that's very little things but trust me, there's a whole lot more but I'm just too lazy to talk about it, and mostly everything is on twitter, so just look it out there :)
I should get some sleep soon because there's work later! Dang it.
HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR EVE! :D
Ciao!
XO.
Ryn.
